Yerba Buena Gardens Festival's 17th Annual Halloween Hoopla features interactive performances and games for kids under 10 and their adults and the return of the Yerba Buena Pumpkin Patch! Led by the ever-popular Unique Derique, the program features live music from Chelle! & Friends, roaming shenanigans from the Pi Clowns, mysterious palm reader Madam Z, and craft activities with Trash Mash-Up. Compete in the annual Mummy Wrap and more games. Remember to bring your camera for the Hoopla Photo Booth! The program culminates in the eagerly awaited Halloween Costume Parade, where everyone is welcome to show off their Halloween finery.

Come to Davies Symphony Hall for a spooky evening of musical chills and comical thrills this Halloween! Watch Mel Brooks’ hilarious cult classic Young Frankenstein on the big screen*, paired with chart-topping piano duo Anderson & Roe performing haunting music and silent film accompaniment with spine-tingling twenty-fingered dexterity—so good it’s scary.

Boo at the Zoo

Dress up in costume for one of San Francisco Zoo & Garden’s most popular family Halloween events, “Boo at the Zoo”, on Saturday and Sunday, October 28 & 29! Trick-or-treat at multiple stations throughout the Zoo and watch animals gobble up gourds and enjoy Halloween-themed enrichment treats during the Pumpkin Stomp & Chomp. Brave the Haunted Nature Trail, decorated especially for the occasion with not-so-scary ghosts, goblins and more! Have a creepy, crawly critter adventure at the Insect Zoo, teaming with more than a thousand multi-legged bugs. The last weekend of October is also the final opportunity to catch “ZOOtoberFest” with entertainment for all ages. Located near the Lion Fountain, “Harvest Hallow” houses San Francisco’s largest Hay Maze, a 5,000-square-foot structure built with 600 bales of straw! There’s ample seating, pumpkins, and festive fall décor for a family photo op!

Please join us for a special evening of folklore and behind the scenes tours, as well as a catered dinner in Hangar Bay 3 with local paranormal author Jeff Dwyer and dinner host Professor Loyd Auerbach. Guest of honor Jeff Dwyer is the author of the ten books that explore ghosts and other paranormal phenomena in major metropolitan regions of the U.S. He has also author three textbooks on paranormal topics including the recent Paranormal CSI. Dwyer is a professional paranormal investigator, having investigated haunted places in cities ranging from Boston to Seattle. He has served as technical advisor for TV and films, appeared on more than one hundred radio and TV shows and several paranormal conferences. Most recently, he has appeared on episodes of Travel Channel’s GHOST ADVENTURES and AFTERSCHOCKS, and Destination America’s popular GHOST BROS. You will also find him featured in a full-length documentary entitled HAUNTED WINE COUNTRY scheduled for release in October 2017.
